Η ΠΥΛΗ                                                         

    Μία σύνθεση από 140 σταυρόσχημα έργα που αποτελούν 8 ενότητες . Κάθε έργο αποτελεί μία ψηφίδα στην ολότητα του έργου με ανάγνωση από τα 10 cm στα 10 m. Στα έργα αυτά απεικονίζονται τα μοτίβα των βυζαντινών χειρογράφων, με μια καινούργια ανάγνωση που αναπαριστά συμβολικά την πνευματικότητα του Βυζαντίου.

         Η εικονοποιΐα αυτή  ως  καλειδοσκοπική οντολογία  ανα-γιγνώσκει  μια μυθολογική φυτολογία και ζωολογία, είναι μια αρχαιολογία των συμβόλων που παραπληρωματικά συνθέτουν το σώμα του -κατακερματισμένου από τις θύελλες και τις δίνες  της Ιστορίας αλλά και σε διαρκή ανασύνθεση- κόσμου της παράδοσης(ελληνιστικής, χριστιανικής, βυζαντινής, μεσαιωνικής, λαϊκής, μυθικής).

 

                                         THE GATE                                 

    A holistic work, like a mosaic , composed from 140 cruciform pieces is presented in 8 sections The whole work is a puzzle , in a three-dimensional image but at the same time each one piece functions separately by reading it from 10 cm to 10 m.Beginning from the motifs of Byzantine manuscripts, the work symbolically represents the spirituality of Byzantium.It is painted on handmade tissue on wood using the technique of egg tempera.

  The present iconography like an ontologic kaleidoscope, re-cognizes, reads a new, the mythology of flora and fauna. It is an archaeology of symbols, which re-affirms the stamina of the Greek ethos. However tattered and swirling in the maelstroms of History, the Greek tradition, mythical, Hellenistic, Christian, byzantine, medieval or folk, constantly regenerates itself.
